Water Drawings



The texture of the stairs with the combination of water, and blazing sunlight gave them a very bling effect. I originally wanted to have the water trail down the corners of the steps until it reached the bottom. But i discovered that the way that the water was acting with it's environment was more interesting while it was standing still.



I decided to elaborate on the idea of the way that water ripples a small drop in a body of water affects water that is meters away, yet the original point of contact loses it's importance because it smooths out very quickily. I started out with marks that imitated the ripple and as parts of it disappeared the remaining shapes determined the next.
